About us
Our Story
Sedgewick Industries, founded in 1990, by husband-and-wife team Leslie and Kim Crossman, from its onset was recognized for developing, manufacturing, and supplying international hospitality brands such as Disney, Marriot, Affordable Suites, and others, as well as assisted living and healthcare facilities. In 2014, Sedgewick Industries was acquired by Whitewood Industries. Aligning the two companies, their synergies, would ensure the future growth of both companies. While Whitewood paid homage to the company’s beginnings by keeping the Sedgewick brand, it also added Custom Contract and Whitewood Contracts to better demonstrate, to the marketplace, the company’s capabilities.

For over 30 years, the company, in its 80,000 sq-ft plus High Point based plant, has proudly developed and manufactured thousands of styles for the hospitality, healthcare, and senior living segment.
Today, just ten years post-acquisition, the company continues to grow and evolve. While Custom Contract continues to offer custom capabilities (with a minimum of thirty or more), we also offer fresh, on trend, and classic “off the shelf” product.
Our comprehensive product assortment has come to include lounge and task chairs, sofas and sleepers, banquettes, dining chairs, stools and benches, dining and activity tables, occasional, accents, bedroom, and storage solutions. All of these can be finished to match, or stained and/or painted in one of the companies signature paints and finishes.
